Doha 2024
The World Championships in Doha (QAT) was certainly THE milestone for me because it was the only and last chance to qualify for the 10km race at the Olympic Games.
I have focused everything on this competition for the last three years.

10km in the Persian Gulf
February 4th, 2024 will probably remain in my memory forever - I reached the 16th place in an intense, fast 10km race in the rather undulating Old Port in Doha.
Although I wished for a better ranking, I am proud to be one of the best open water athletes in the world.
What makes this race so memorable is that my performance qualified me for the
2024 Olympic Games in Paris!
I am proud and humbled to be able to represent my country in probably the biggest event for every athlete.
I will work hard to prepare for this experience and to be able to give my best at the competition in Paris.
5km as an extra
On February 7th, 2024 I took part in the 5km race and reached the 25th place.
I wasn't really satisfied, but I was tired and drained after the 10km race.
My main goal was achieved with the qualification and I learned that it is important to keep your focus and concentrate on it.
Overall, the World Cup in Doha was a valuable experience that showed me where I stand and which areas I can improve.
I am grateful for everything I have achieved, for the support of my family, my coaches, my team and everyone who has accompanied me on this journey.
